Housing Developments

ICDC has built over 200 homes since 1995. We have been awarded the National Association of Home Builders Platinum Award (HUD Secretary’s Award for Excellence) and the Preservation Dallas Achievement Award for architectural design.

Pittman Place Homes

ICDC is building 19 new single family homes at Pittman Place near the Phillis Wheatley Historic District of South Dallas at 3500 Meadow Street in Dallas and near DART rail and bus service

Named after William Sidney Pitman, son-in-law of Booker T. Washington, famed African-American Architect and known as the first African-American architect in Texas, the one and two story homes offer seven different floor plans – each with its own exterior design.

Three to four bedrooms, two baths, a powder room, laundry and pantry space, attached single-car garage, and open-plan living areas that allow for flexible use of space — Pittman Place Homes are 1200 to 1800 sq ft, energy efficient with 9 foot ceilings, crown mouldings, a full appliance package (washer, dryer, range, refrigerator, dishwasher), professionally landscaped, with built in security.

Mill City Neighborhood Homes

Mill City Neighborhood Homes are part of a “model community” of homes, retail development and small business training and development. The community is designed to create the feel of an open pedestrian market place that encourages neighborly interaction and outdoor gatherings.

Frazier Courtyard Homes

ICDC initiated a partnership with Dallas Habitat that has resulted in the completion of more than 51 new single family home including 13 “empty nester” units–and the rewards of homeownership.

Infill

We also build scatter-site infill homes where opportunities for new home ownership occur. Our infill program helps revitalize and strengthen neighborhoods.

We are not just selling homes. We are building neighborhoods.
