About ICDC
In the early 1980's the concerns of South Dallas/Fair Park residents
over the deterioration of the community intensified. Incompatible
social and environmental land uses were numerous. Thus, the South
Dallas/Fair Park Neighborhood Preservation and Economic Development
Plan (The Plan) was created. The Plan developed ways to revitalize
the area and ultimately recommended the establishment of an institution
to implement the plan. In 1986 the South Dallas Fair Park Innercity
Community Development Corporation (ICDC) was founded. ICDC is
a community based 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Mission:
To create stable, safe and vibrant South Dallas/Fair Park
neighborhoods by building partnerships that provide home ownership
opportunities, community economic development and education
